The library offers free, hands-on computer classes for its members (IPPL Cardholders). These are one time classes limited to two class per session. You must be registered to attend classes. Classes are popular and fill up fast, so we recommend coming in on the first day of in-person registration. Online program registration information: Click on class title to check registration availability. If you register and your status is waiting you are on the wait list and will be notified if there is a cancelation using the e-mail address you used to registered with. If you are not able to attend a registered class please cancel, so that someone else may attend. (Note: In order to cancel online you will need your confirmation code that was e-mailed to you upon registration, if not you can cancel by calling the library)

Downloading E-books
Learn how to check out and transfer e-books from the library's collection onto your Nook, iPad, and Sony Reader. Bring your device and cords. (Have a laptop? Bring that too.) Prerequisite: None.
Email Basics
Learn to send and receive messages and attachments. Prerequisite: Basic Windows, mouse and keyboarding skills.
Essential Computers
First-time computer users will learn about the parts of a computer, functions of the keyboard and mouse, and how to open and use programs in Windows. This is a two-part class (students must register for both parts). Prerequisite: None.
Excel Basics
This class will cover basic instruction including cells, formulas, worksheets, charts, and more. Prerequisite: Basic Windows, mouse, and keyboarding skills.
Excel Intermediate
Learn to use Excel as a database to organize, sort, and find data in a worksheet. Learn to use built-in functions for data analysis and financial calculations. Prerequisite: Experience working with Excel on a regular basis.
Facebook for Beginners
Learn how to use Facebook, including how to upload photos and create security and privacy settings. Become a fan of IPPL on Facebook. Prerequisite: Basic Windows, mouse and keyboarding skills.
Internet Basics
Learn Internet terminology, how to use a Web browser and how to search the Internet. Prerequisite: Basic Windows, mouse and keyboarding skills.
Keyboarding & Mousercise
This class is designed for first-time computer users to learn how to manipulate teh mouse and develop typing skills. Prerequisite: None.
PowerPoint Basics
Learn how to prepare a simple presentation, create and edit slides, and run a slide show. Prerequisite: Basic Windows, mouse and keyboarding skills.
Word Basics
Learn to create a document, edit and format text, and add graphics. Prerequisite: Basic Windows, mouse and keyboarding skills.
Word Intermediate
Learn how to format documents, create numbered and bulleted lists, and insert tables, headers and footers. Prerequisite: Experience working with Word on a regular basis.
