Wireless Internet & Printing

Wireless Internet access and printing is available throughout the library. Most laptops or devices will automatically detect our wireless network (IPPL-PUB). Wait until the wireless icon appears in the system tray and then open up your Internet browser. (If you do not connect please try theses troubleshooting tips).

Troubleshooting

If you do not connect automatically:

  • Look for the wireless icon in your system tray, right click and choose Open Network Connection.
  • Right click on Wireless Network Connection and select properties.
  • Make sure the Network Name IPPL-PUB appears in the Preferred Networks box.
  • Click on the General Tab and highlight the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) option.
  • Click on Properties. Make sure the Obtain an IP address automatically option is chosen.
  • Make sure the Obtain DNS server address automatically option is chosen.
  • Re-open your browser.
If you still can not connect:
  • Right click on My Network on your desktop and select Properties.
  • Make sure your wireless network connection is available.If it is not available, right click on the wireless network connection and enable it. Once the connection is enabled, right click on wireless network connection and go to View Available Wireless Networks. Look for wireless network IPPL-PUB and check the connect box. Click on OK and re-open your browser.
  • Please refer to your owner’s manual or support services offered by your device manufacturer.
