AARP TAX-AIDE AT YOUR LIBRARY
AARP Tax Aide, a free service to taxpayers with middle and low incomes, will be available in the library starting in February, 2011. AARP volunteers will be in the library on Mondays and Fridays until April. Appointments can be made for 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00. Call the Adult Services Desk to make an appointment at 630/887-8760 ext. 239.
COLLEGE OF DUPAGE STUDENTS CAN DO YOUR TAXES
Accounting students at the College of Dupage, supervised by faculty, offer assistance with tax-return preparation in February and March on campus in Glen Ellyn on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants must bring their previous year’s tax returns, as well as their current-year tax information and records. For more information, call 630/942-3400.

Indian Prairie Library distributes a number of Federal and Illinois tax forms in the lobby next to the Checkout Desk. In addition, forms may be photocopied from a reproducible forms book kept at the Reference Desk. Please visit the Reference Desk for help in finding tax preparation guides. FREE E-FILING
Free File
The Free File program provides free federal income tax preparation and electronic filing for eligible taxpayers through a partnership between the Internal Revenue Service and the Free File Alliance LLC, a group of private sector tax software companies. Many companies offer free or paid state tax preparation and efiling services. Some companies may not offer state tax preparation and e-file services for all states.
