In 1994, a group of civic leaders formed the Indian Prairie Library Foundation to develop sources of financial support for programs, equipment and services not covered by the library's working budget.
To continue to offer programs, community outreach initiatives, and new technology and equipment, the library budget needs to be supplemented.
Contributions to the Foundation, a 501(C)3 corporation, are tax deductible as allowed by law. Your donation could be made by cash, property, stocks, last will and testaments or living trusts. Donations of $250 or more are recognized on the donor recognition tree in our lobby.
Donations can be made:
-
In memory or honor of an event or a person
-
As an unrestricted donation
-
For a specific purchase, program or area of the library
Contributions have funded:
-
Live music performances through the Chan music series
-
Digital Clavinova piano
-
License to the Ancestry genealogy database
-
Special programming for children within the district
-
Outreach programs for children in underserved areas
-
Expansion of the lobby Donor Tree
