Computers for AdultsIPPL members with a valid library card can use desktop computers or laptops for 90 minutes a day. (Please note – a photo ID is needed to use a laptop.) Time may be extended if there is nobody waiting for a daily total limit of 3 hours. These computers are equipped with Internet access and Microsoft Office 2010 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. We also offer computers for guests without a valid library card and guests who need quick (20 minutes) Internet use. IPPL cardholders can reserve computers up to 24 hours in advance by calling the Computer Help Desk at 630/887-8760, ext 238. |
Computers for Kids & Teens
Computers are available for members ages 18 and younger or for adults to use while their child is using the Kids & Teens Area. Available computer equipment, software & usage reguirements.
WiFi
There is free high-speed WiFi throughout the library. Once you are in the library, your computer should immediately access the WiFi service. If you need assistance visit the Computer Desk.
The library’s Print Centers offer black and white as well as color printing from our laser printers. Wireless printing is available for guests who would like to print from their own laptop or wireless device.
Printing costs:
Black & White – 10 cents per page
Color – 50 cents per page
Scan
You can scan documents at our first floor scanning station, with the option to print, save to a USB, or email the scanned item. There is also a flatbed scanner in the Kids & Teens area. There is no charge for scanning.
